Catalan painter trained at the School of Arts and Crafts of La Llotja under the tutelage of Francesc Labarta. He moved to live in Madrid where, from 1929, he began to exhibit regularly in galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Zaragoza and Tarragona, among other cities.

He was one of the founders of the group of independent artists. During the Spanish Civil War he was one of the regular illustrators of the magazine Nova Iberia. During the post-war period he specialized in religious murals, highlighting a chapel of his in the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, in Barcelona. The Saint Michael that presides over the church of Sant Miquel de Montblanc is also his work.

He is considered a landscape painter of an austere style.
