Catalan painter born in Barcelona to a family originally from Figueres and known as “Casademont le vieux”, he studied industrial engineering and fine arts at the Escola de la Llotja and became involved with the Cercle Maillol (Joaquim Mir, Claude Collet and Josep Maria Sucre). For a few years he worked in his father's company, combining his activity with art, with special dedication to engraving and illustrations for bibliophile books.

In 1961 he received the proposal to organize the art department of the Viaró school in Sant Cugat to promote the artistic education of the students and decided to leave the family business. At the same time he dedicated himself to painting and in 1967 he had his first exhibition as a professional painter at the art gallery La Pinacoteca in Barcelona. He opted for figurative painting.
