Erosion and craft
Pere Baguena 6/9/25 to 2/11/25

Erosion and Craft proposes a look at creation as an act of intimate relationship with matter. It is an exhibition about the beauty of the process, about the fragility that becomes strength and about the way in which the human gesture — when it is craft, when it is done with respect — can give new life to ancient materials.

This exhibition invites the viewer to enjoy the material and the forms, both abstract and figurative, and to discover their beauty once transformed by the artist’s hand . Stone, wood and iron, once worked, reveal volumes, textures and presences, which dialogue between what is recognizable and what can only be intuited.

Beyond formal contemplation, the exhibition seeks to provoke a personal relationship with the works: that each viewer can establish their own dialogue with the sculptures, from their own sensitivity, experience and imagination. The pieces do not offer a single reading, but rather open up as interior landscapes where one can get lost, feel and connect with the emotion and silence of the material .
