1/13/24 to 3/10/24
Artists
Born in Vic in 1944, at the age of 18 she moved to Olot where she currently works and resides. In 1970 she entered the Lluís Carbonell Academy, where she studied drawing and painting, studies that she complemented at the School of Fine Arts in Olot where she studied drawing, ceramics, engraving and perspective for three years. In the studio of sculptor Lluís Curós, he discovers in sculpture the ideal means of expression for his artistic creativity.
Since his studies in Olot, he has been part of the generation that imposed a rupture in Olot sculpture, combining volumes and voids in his works with great strength and sensitivity, in an exercise of resounding stylization on the threshold of the abstract.
An artist of recognized international prestige, Rosa Serra’s work is present in public spaces in numerous countries around the world. We can find her in her beloved Olot, in Girona, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, Lausanne, Athens, Maastricht, Moscow, Lillehammer, Bratislava, Beirut, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Kuwait, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, and a long etcetera.
