Joanjo Bosk (Figueres, 1976) is an artist driven by a deep creative vocation that manifests itself in both music and the visual arts. Despite being known primarily as a singer-songwriter with a solid career —with several albums published and hundreds of concerts throughout the Catalan Countries, as well as in Spain, France, Argentina and Uruguay—, his artistic expression has not been limited exclusively to the field of music.

With a visual sensibility that has accompanied his work for years, Joanjo has been building his own visual universe. He has already illustrated some of his most emblematic covers, such as Cançó per Elna (2012) or Figueres-Gernika (2014), but it is only recently that he has decided to take a step forward and show this facet with his own voice. His graphic creations, which emerged from a long period of creative latency, draw on his training in graphic arts at the Antoni Algueró School (Sant Just Desvern, BCN), where he studied techniques such as lithography and screen printing, which he now recovers and explores with a renewed perspective.

Self-taught and instinctive, Bosk finds in visual art an equally essential channel to express his critical and poetic view of the world. If music has been his main medium until now, plastic art reveals itself as a natural branch of the same creative tree that drives him.
