The paths of perception are wide and we only have to look towards the horizon to see it. Looking at the world through the frame of mind generates certain limits that allow us to develop orderly in the world we live in.
By focusing our attention on consciousness, the vision broadens and we perceive what is observed in its entirety. It is there that the figure knows its origin; abstraction.
With this notion, we are aware that behind what we perceive with the naked eye, there is always an alternate reality.

Metaphysical abstraction
When we observe something with our intellect to understand it and try to analyze it in depth, we encounter a reality so abstract that it cannot be defined in concrete terms. However, an understanding occurs that goes beyond logic.
By replacing the analytical infrastructures of the mind with the intuitive system of consciousness, conjectures occur that are felt with the heart and even if something is beyond the reach of understanding, instinctively there is a certainty that provides tranquility. It is from this perspective, metaphysical abstraction, that the work of Matt ┛Denegrevaught is born and sustained.

Matt ┛Denegrevaught is a multidisciplinary artist born in Mexico, fourth generation of a family of painters and based in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
His training and dedication to classical dance, along with his passion for introspection, allows him to create works full of content and conceptual value through rhythms, textures and metaphysical perspectives.
