Disenchantment of a time, of a country

In 1988, Spain experienced a moment of paradox. The left, which had gained government, had disappointed many in their expectations of a change that had been announced as the birth of a new era of greater justice, prosperity and peace.

This disenchantment leads Manuel Solà to make his revolution with canvas, brushes and oil to express everything he has seen, suffered and enjoyed in the streets of the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona where he lives and works. The street as a metaphor for life
