In the last ten years I have traveled several times to Arctic areas, in northern Norway (Lofoten Islands) and also to Iceland to capture the northern lights, which with the darkness of the night, and if the conditions are favorable, allow us to enjoy the beauty of their dance.
As a result of these trips, I have made a selection of 15 images that make up this exhibition.
Photographically speaking, when we mention the northern lights, we usually refer to the aurora borealis, the main reason for trips to the Arctic. But, in this selection, I wanted it to be more than just images of the aurora borealis. Also, during the daylight hours, we can witness sunrises or sunsets lit up with lights and colors that make us wish those moments would freeze and never end. There are also cloudy, gray or foggy days.
“So, with this series of images I try to show these different moments of light experienced, all of them unique, but each with its own charm. And the fact is that, to achieve each of these little moments, there is always a little story behind it.”
